Indian Government Accredits Data Center Services Provider Web Werks for Cloud Services
The government in India has accredited Tier IV data center services provider Web Werks for cloud services. Established in 1996, Web Werks has headquarters in Mumbai, India. A ‘carrier neutral’ data center provider, it operates 5 Tier III and Tier IV data centers and has facilities in the United States. With 5,000 customers globally, the company’s range of hosting services include cloud and VPS hosting alongside dedicated servers and colocation. It is also an ICANN registered domain provider. Web Werks has received accreditation from the Indian government’s Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY).

Web Werks’ latest accreditation allows the company to provide services to central government organizations. The accreditation was awarded as part of the ‘MeghRaj GI’ cloud initiative which vets private cloud service providers who wish to cater to the increased demand for computer resources within government bodies. Web Werks was one of a number of cloud providers that successfully met vetting procedure requirements.

"As the government seeks innovative IT solutions, we're delighted that Web Werks is now a part of this e-governance initiative and we'll be able to deliver our cloud-based services to the public sector organizations,” explained Web Werks’ CEO, Nikhil Rathi. “Our cloud solutions will help enhance e-governance, achieve higher efficiency and drive digital transformation, which will ultimately aid our local audience".
