IT Services and Communications Provider EarthLink Earns SSAE16 SOC Certification for TechCare Help Desk Solution
IT services and communications provider EarthLink, Inc. has earned SSAE16 SOC certification for its TechCare help desk solution. Established in 1994, EarthLink caters to more than 150,000 businesses and a million consumers across the United States. The company offers a range of services including cloud computing, managed and private cloud options, and virtualization services such as managed hosting. It operates 4 of its own data centers.

EarthLink's TechCare service is a "fully managed, customizable, scalable end user help desk solution" that allows businesses to relinquish IT functions and concentrate on core competencies. SSAE 16 certification ensures the service meets Auditing Standards Board (ASB) of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) standards. To do this the service's functions and capabilities are rigorously audited. The resulting audit report provides an independent review of TechCare's systems, processes and procedures.
