Mr. Keith Angell has joined enterprise and business application hosting provider Velocity Technology Solutions
(Velocity). A Silver Lake Sumeru portfolio company, Velocity has headquarters in Charlotte, North Carolina, USA. The company bills itself as a “global leader in enterprise and business application hosting services”. It offers “fully managed and protected” solutions that leverage virtual private clouds. Alongside this the company also offers consulting and big data services. Mr. Angell joins the company as President and CEO. He also joins the company’s Board of Directors. His role will see Mr. Angell focus on accelerating the company’s global growth and customer and partner relationships.
Mr. Angell is an industry veteran whose was President of Global Services for cloud managed services company Virtustream before joining Velocity. He has also held executive positions at IBM which included Vice President, Cloud Services Transformation. He was also Chief Revenue Officer at IBM company SoftLayer and IBM’s Vice President, Centers of Excellence. Before IBM he was Senior Vice President, Worldwide Sales for applications service provider Corio. He has a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Duke University, an MS in Engineering from Northeastern University, and an MBA with Finance from Louisiana State University, all in the United States.
