Managed hosting providers
Liquid Web and Nexcess have formed a partnership. Liquid Web, which has headquarters in Lansing, Michigan, United States, was established in 1997. The company specializes in options that include cloud hosting and WooCommerce and WordPress options. It serves more than 30,000 customers through two data centers in Michigan. Liquid Web was in the news earlier this year for announcing upgrades to its managed dedicated server CPUs. The partnership with Nexcess will support the company’s ambitions to “dominate the web professional hosting market for SMBs”.
Nexcess is based in Southfield, Michigan, United States and was established in 2000. The company is recognized as a leading managed cloud provider and offers a range of services including scalable Magento, WordPress, WooCommerce, ExpressionEngine, Craft CMS, and OroCRM managed cloud hosting solutions. Its solutions are offered through US-based data centers and through facilities in Europe and Australia. While the two companies will remain independent of each other, the partnership will see them “combine resources”. Liquid Web customers will have access to the “technology and scalability of Nexcess Cloud” and Nexcess customers will gain access to Liquid Web’s offerings.
“This combination of companies demonstrates our commitment to be a leader in the Application hosting space and to deliver innovative solutions for the Web Professional customer that we are both focused on — designers, developers, site and store owners,” suggested Jim Geiger, the CEO of Liquid Web. “Nexcess is the premier eCommerce hosting provider for SMBs, and this union gives them access to more scale and capital to continue growth for the long term. With the combination of our two companies and strong expertise in Magento, WordPress and WooCommerce, Liquid Web and Nexcess will now be able to further develop the product and open source platform capabilities that SMB customers and their developers have been asking for,” he added.
