Codero Holdings, Inc. (Codero) has achieved key industry certification that impacts data transfer between the European Union (EU) and the United States (US). Codero is based in Austin, Texas, United States and specializes in hybrid multi-cloud enterprise IT. Its suite of HIPAA, PCI, and SAS 70 Type II-compliant services include dedicated, managed, hybrid, and cloud hosting options. The company also offers Office 365 packages. At the end of last year Codero marked the successful migration of “more than 1,000 servers and 500 customers to Microsoft Azure in 2018”. This year the company is marking receiving ‘EU-US Privacy Shield Framework Certification’.
Designed by the U.S. Department of Commerce and the European Commission, the EU-US. ‘Privacy Shield Frameworks’ support transatlantic commerce and offer companies a mechanism that allows them to comply with data protection requirements “on both sides of the Atlantic” when transferring data between the EU and US. Achieving the certification requires the company comply with the framework’s requirements and undergo “a rigorous process to align numerous privacy policies with the new regulations”.
