Melbicom, an EU-headquartered infrastructure operator, has launched a new portfolio of Content Delivery Network (CDN) services designed to give businesses greater flexibility in choosing network coverage, traffic capacity, and billing models based on their specific workloads.
The new CDN offering includes pay-as-you-go delivery, volume-based monthly plans, prepaid traffic packages, and customized enterprise agreements. The plans are designed to support applications ranging from websites and e-commerce platforms to SaaS applications, video services, software distribution, and large-scale data delivery.
🌍 Premium and Volume CDN Networks
Melbicom's CDN portfolio is built around two network options.
Premium Go provides access to a 39-PoP network spanning 35 countries across six continents, making it suitable for businesses that require broader geographic coverage and flexible traffic usage.
Volume plans operate across a 12-PoP network designed for customers with sustained and predictable traffic requirements.
Across the plans, customers are billed according to delivered traffic rather than individual requests, providing a straightforward pricing structure.
“Predictable billing starts with matching the commercial model to the traffic,” said Vincent Royant of Melbicom. “Premium Go covers variable traffic without a commitment. Volume plans apply lower rates to sustained or prepaid traffic, while Enterprise contracts can combine Premium and Volume delivery by zone under the same CDN control layer.”
💰 Flexible Pricing Based on Traffic
Melbicom's CDN plans are designed to accommodate different traffic patterns and business requirements.
Premium Go offers pay-as-you-go access to the 39-PoP Premium network without requiring a traffic commitment. Pricing is based on the destination zone and monthly traffic volume.
Volume Go uses the 12-PoP Volume network and includes a 10 TB monthly minimum. Customers receive progressively lower per-GB rates as traffic reaches higher published volume tiers, without requiring a prepaid package.
Volume Plus provides prepaid 100 TB and 500 TB traffic packages at lower per-GB rates. Additional traffic beyond the included allowance is billed according to the package's applicable extra-GB rate.
For larger organizations, Enterprise plans provide customized commitments and network selection by geographic zone, including support for petabyte-scale traffic. Enterprise deployments can combine Premium delivery in regions where broader coverage or network performance is important with Volume capacity in areas generating sustained traffic.
Melbicom can customize the geographic zone mix, traffic commitment, contract duration, billing structure, and support requirements according to the deployment.
⚙️ One CDN Platform for Multiple Workloads
Customers can manage multiple CDN plans through a single CDN account. Each CDN resource can have independent origins, caching policies, HTTP headers, and access rules, allowing organizations to configure delivery according to the requirements of individual applications.
For websites and e-commerce platforms, customers can cache static content such as pages, product images, and CSS while excluding dynamic paths such as shopping carts and checkout processes.
SaaS applications can cache application shells and public assets while applying separate rules to APIs and authenticated content.
For video platforms, pre-transcoded HLS and DASH content can be delivered from edge caches, with geographic routing and access controls supporting regional content catalogs.
Software publishers, game developers, and data platforms can use the CDN to distribute software releases, patches, datasets, and other large files closer to end users.
🔐 Flexible Origins and Management Tools
CDN origins can be hosted on Melbicom dedicated servers, S3-compatible storage with an HTTP(S) endpoint, or external infrastructure.
Origin pools can distribute incoming requests across multiple sources while providing failover capabilities for improved resilience.
Each CDN resource supports SSL/TLS certificates issued through Let's Encrypt or certificates supplied by customers. Melbicom also provides real-time analytics and raw logs to help customers monitor content delivery and traffic behavior.
Through the control panel or API, customers can also purge cached content across active PoPs within seconds.
