Industry veteran Mike Olson has joined web host
Bluehost. The company, part of the Endurance International Group, supports around two million websites globally and offers a range of "cloud-based platform solutions" aimed at helping small and medium-sized businesses establish a successful online presence. The company's services include shared hosting, dedicated hosting, WordPress hosting and Virtual Private Server (VPS) hosting. Mr. Olson joins Bluehost as Brand Chief Executive Officer.
Mr. Olson takes over the position vacated by Dan Handy, who has joined the "Mobile Solutions for Small Businesses Team" at Endurance. He joins the company from DIRECTV where he was Vice President and General Manager for Multi Dwelling Unit (MDU) and Hotel Markets. Prior to this he held a range of positions for a number of public and private companies.
"Mike is the perfect person to lead Bluehost as we expand globally and develop an even stronger brand presence, while also strengthening common systems and processes across the Endurance family of brands," explained Endurance's Chief Operating Officer, Ron LaSalvia. "He possesses a tremendous understanding of online businesses, customer support, sales, and development of brands that resonate with customers. We are very excited to have him at the helm of Bluehost."
