Multi-platform Casual Games Company Iplay Selects Data Center Provider NYI to Provide Customized Infrastructure Solutions
New York City-based multi-platform casual games company Iplay has selected data center provider NYI to provide customized infrastructure solutions for its games solutions. NYI, which has headquarters in the Wall Street area of New York, specializes in areas which include colocation and cloud computing, disaster recovery and dedicated server provision. The company was selected based on its ability to accommodate Iplay's specific business requirements, which included direct access to hardware.

Iplay was previously hosted in fully managed locations that did not provide access to hardware - a hindrance for a company that frequently updates its product and needs flexible infrastructure management. Iplay now operates four cabinets with NYI, and with direct access to hardware, the company can address its infrastructure more efficiently, managing hardware and software without having to engage a third party. Iplay has though outsourced some hardware monitoring responsibilities to NYI, meaning they have experienced faster issue resolution and addressed many of the outage issues they experienced with previous data center providers.

"NYI is the best at what they do," explained Iplay's Infrastructure Services Manager, Nelson Wu."Along with execution under extremely aggressive time concerns, senior NYI staff was onsite throughout the entire process. We couldn't be happier with the results, which consolidate our infrastructure as well as provide significant monitoring and full-scale NOC capabilities."
