The survey - acknowledged as "Germany's largest readership survey" - considered the image of 140 brands and saw 15,000 PC-WELT readers vote for companies in 15 product categories. Hetzner was voted Online Technology Winner 2012 in the survey’s "Webhosting-Private" category. The company was also voted second "Brand of the Year 2012" in the business and private category.
PC-WELT’s "Brand Awareness International 2012" survey analyzed “buyer behavior” for ICT and consumer electronics products by asking readers to determine which brands offered the best price against performance. The survey results suggested Hetzner Online was recognized as a "friendly brand" and indicated the company performed well in areas of performance and speed, technology and energy efficiency and support.
