eApps Hosting has announced a new Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) location based in New York, United States. eApps Hosting, which has headquarters in Norcross, Georgia, United States, provides a number of services including cloud hosting options and enterprise grade email to 5000+ customers “in more than 125 countries”. Its hosting services manage in excess of 15,000 domains. The company’s new location features Jelastic and offers a bare metal infrastructure.
Located in the ‘Packet’ data center in the New York Metro area, eApps Hosting’s latest PaaS location is its third in the New York area. The location makes it “ideally situated for eApps’ advanced hosting services for the North American and European markets”. Their choice of the new location was based on an evaluation of “leading bare metal providers” that were judged in terms of performance, server flexibility and network configuration, vendor responsiveness and value proposition. Packet “scored the highest rating in all four categories” and was noted for its global network.
eApps Hosting’s service runs on the Jelastic Platform-as-a-Service system which offers a number of tools for developers including Java, PHP, Ruby, Python, and Node.js alongside IDE and code repository integration.
