VPS Hosting Solutions Provider Atlantic.Net Announces New Data Centers
VPS hosting solutions provider Atlantic.Net has announced the launch of its first data center in Toronto, Canada. The company, which specializes in HIPAA compliant hybrid hosting, private virtualization and cloud-based VPS hosting options, also launched a second new center in Dallas, Texas. The new centers offer colocation services for the world's telecommunication companies and are underpinned by locally based technical support.

Atlantic.Net's new Toronto carrier-neutral data center boasts high-speed fiber connection to Tier-1 bandwidth providers who need access to international markets. The center is housed in a building operated by data center operator Cogeco and utilizes green energy sources to protect the environment. The company's Dallas center offers 4500 (kW) utility power capacity alongside 1450 (kW) UPS power capacity and 3890 (kW) generator power capacity. It houses N-N+1 UPS redundancy and N+1 cooling redundancy provided by another data center operator, Digital Realty Trust.

The company's new centers underscore its focus on international expansion. The company now has three centers and plans further expansion in North America, Latin America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific countries. “We chose Toronto and Dallas because both locations ensure that our customers have a domestic location to provide the highest-quality support,” explained Atlantic.Net's Founder and current President and CEO, Marty Puranik.
