The company, whose services also include email hosting, VPS hosting and SSL certificate provision, is part of the HEG group, which is "the largest privately-owned hosting company in Europe". 123-reg's sister companies within the HEG group include Webfusion, Heart Internet, Host Europe and RedCoruna.
123-reg's new premium offerings take the burden of running IT from companies and allow them to concentrate on core business competencies. The new Premium Hosting packages offer unlimited data transfer and a dedicated IP address. They also leverage virtualization technology to manage key administrative tasks on behalf of customers and utilize "clustered cloud and load balancing technology" to ensure websites manage visitor spikes.
123-reg packages promise a high level of performance, with "guaranteed RAM" and immediate access to website solutions such as the WordPress Open Source Content Management System (CMS) and Open Web Analytics - an Open Source web analytics software solution that enables users to analyze how people are using their websites. The company's services are also underpinned by ongoing hardware support, and it also guarantees 99.99% uptime.
