Web Host Cirrus Tech Updates Shared Hosting with Windows Server 2008 and Plesk 8.6

The news comes on the heels of the company’s recent transition to Windows Server 2008 for their dedicated server plans. The company is also upgrading the Plesk Control Panel to version 8.6 for both Windows and Linux shared hosting plans (and reseller options).

According to the company, Windows Server 2008 running on Cirrus Tech’s web servers will enable its customers to “enjoy increased levels of availability, security and reliability”. In addition, its customers will benefit from the enhancements available in Plesk 8.6. These include improved DNS Zone update, permission to select a target DB server, an update of Parallels Plesk Sitebuilder to version 4.2, and improved control panel navigation.
