Web Hosting and Cloud Services Provider DreamHost Enhances Managed WordPress Options
Web hosting and cloud services provider DreamHost has enhanced its managed WordPress options. The company, which was established in 1997, has headquarters in Brea, California, USA. It caters to a 400,000-strong customer base by offering a range of services including web hosting, managed VPS hosting, cloud storage and dedicated servers. DreamPress 2, the company's managed WordPress offering, has received a number of recent upgrades including the addition of Solid State Drive (or SSD) hard disks to servers.

SSD hard disks have no moving parts, and as a result are faster and more efficient than the 'spinning disk' type of hard disks associated with more traditional hosting services. The addition of SSD hard to DreamPress 2 comes after they were added to their DreamHost's Virtual Private Server options at the end of 2014, and to its shared hosting options at the beginning of 2015. In both instances DreamHost customers benefited from an "unprecedented boost in performance".

Other enhancements to DreamPress 2 include users now being able to select PHP 5.5 with OPCache enabled as the server operating system. In addition, users can opt to leverage Hip Hop Virtual Machine (HHVM), a "drop-in PHP replacement built for extreme performance".
