October 7, 2005 (HOSTSEARCH.COM) Plans announced in late September reached fruition this week when Canadian web hosting and e-commerce solutions provider MonsterHosting.ca launched a Voice over Internet Protocol subsidiary - the first Canadian web host to do so. The subsidiary, MonsterVoIP, targets the small and home office (SOHO) market through a number of features that include a unique scheme where monthly VoIP minutes are rolled over. MosterVoIP also caters to web hosts looking to start their own VoIP service with a white label reseller service which involves a nominal setup fee and includes branded voice mail, wholesale access rates, and allows resellers to provide broadband adapters and software phones. The response has already been excellent, said Rainer Schmoll, CEO of MonsterVoIP. We are already exceeding all of our expectations in terms of customer signups. We promised we would change the way web hosting companies think of VoIP, said Schmoll. And I think its apparent we have kept true on our promise.
