November 1, 2006 (HOSTSEARCH.COM) The training arm of web hosting provider AIT, Advanced Internet Technologies/Acclaim (http://www.AITacclaim.com), has announced it is involved in negotiations with certified institutions of higher learning to provide college credits for IT certifications. An agreement with the institutions will mean that completion of a number of Advanced Internet Technologies/Acclaims courses could translate into college credit hours.
We are currently in negotiations with several other institutions, which would allow our students who receive industry certifications to be granted college credits towards their degrees, explained Advanced Internet Technologies/Acclaims Jeffrey W. Murray, V.P. Marketing/Business Development. This capability will permit students to receive college credits for obtaining industry certifications via the intensive study classes typically offered in private industry, rather than having to take classes over an entire semester.
Advanced Internet Technologies/Acclaim offers a broad range of training courses including CompTIAs A+, Net+, and Security+; Ciscos CCNA, CCNP, CCDA, ICND and Microsofts MCSE and MCSA. Training takes place through its ProMetric Testing Center and at its customers premises.
