Cirrus Tech has announced the availability of
Open-Xchange webmail and groupware services available to new and existing clients. Earlier this year, Cirrus Tech had partnered up with Open-Xchange to offer clients with a low-cost business class email solution.
Open-Xchange provides an alternative to Hosted Exchange services for clients that want a lower cost solution without sacrificing functionality. Open-Xchange groupware integrates e-mail, calendar, contact and task management with advanced groupware features. These features include information management and document sharing, along with social network integration.
New and existing Cirrus Tech clients will benefit with the seamless integration of Open-Xchange with the Parallels Plesk Panel. Choosing Open-Xchange webmail as their preferred e-mail client, clients will be able to enjoy a rich AJAX-based web interface over the basic default webmail client included with Plesk. Clients can also choose to upgrade their webmail to enable advanced features such as private and public address book, calendar, teams, subscriptions, and mobility services.
Cirrus Tech hopes to attract clients that want both web hosting and email services with the addition of these value-added services. "Open-Xchange gives our users much richer functions than our basic e-mail offering. It also provides an alternative to our Hosted Microsoft Exchange Service," said Ehsan Mirdamadi, CEO at Cirrus Tech Ltd. Currently, Open-Xchange is available on Cirrus Tech’s Linux Shared Hosting platforms. However, theyplan to offer Open-Xchange email and collaboration services on their VPS, Xen VM and Dedicated Server hosting plans in the near future.
