Web Hosting Provider Easyspace Looks for Worst Website

December 17, 2007
December 17, 2007 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – Web hosting provider Easyspace (http://www.easyspace.com/) is looking for the worst website on the Internet, the company announced recently. The company is running a competition amongst its customers, who can nominate their own sites as being “the web's worst”. Website redesigns to a value of $3,000 will be won by owners of four of the worst sites. The company has received over 500 entries since the competition’s launch. Descriptions of entrants’ websites have included, “My husband designed it and it looks like he did – he’s a policeman. My website is a crime scene!”

“Virtually every business has a website these days and they play a vital part in marketing and sales. However, many firms’ sites are quite old now and often are very basic, are not taking advantage of new technology, or are just plain dull looking,” explained Easyspace.com’s Online Marketing Manager, Brian Tait. “The importance of a good-looking, easy-to-use website cannot be underestimated which is why we decided to give our customers the opportunity to have their website completely redesigned. We’ve been amazed by the response so far.”

To take part in the competition Easyspace customers must submit reasons why their websites need redesigns no later than December 31, 2007. The four “ugliest” sites will be selected by judges and placed online with the winner chosen by public vote on January 18, 2007.
