June 11, 2007 (HOSTSEARCH.COM) Web hosting provider Host Gator has moved from Boca Raton, Florida, USA, to Houston, Texas, USA, it was announced recently. A number of new positions have emerged as a result of the move, each of which are required to cater for the companys next stage of growth. The company also announced the launch of a corporate blog.
Host Gators new location is in central Houston and cost $2.4 million. The company has purchased a state-of-the art 4-story, 30,000 square foot building which has been custom fitted to provide exceptional security and house monitoring and expanded infrastructure for Host Gator's customer service operations.
"We are extremely pleased to announce this major milestone", explained Host Gator CEO, Mr. Brent Oxley. "Host Gator has been growing at a rapid rate in the last few years. We felt moving to a major metropolitan area was the best way to meet all our staffing and infrastructure needs."
The companys new location currently caters for around 100 employees with the capacity to house an additional 200. The location offers staff a gym, showers, pool table, air hockey and ping-pong. Pizza is free from Monday to Friday. The company will be employing additional system administrators and webmasters at the location.

"The new blog is not a promotional tool, but rather a way for us to reach out and communicate with our valued customers and anyone interested in hosting," added Mr. Oxley. "The Internet has changed how news is distributed, with sites such as Digg.com empowering the community to determine what is considered newsworthy. We hope to use these alternative channels to broaden the reach of our communication efforts."
