NYI, recently named the top hosting provider for May 2010 by network data analysts Netcraft, today announced it has received a Statment on Accounting Services (SAS) No. 70 Type II auditor’s report, an announcement that assures its customers are protected by the most current international industry standards for service providers to protect customer data, as put forth by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).
A SAS 70 Type II report includes the service organization’s description of controls as well as the detailed testing of the service organization’s controls over a minimum six-month period. NYI’s audit was conducted by the auditing firm
KirkpatrickPrice, LLC, who also issued a favorable opinion of the company’s controls as part of its Type I audit back in December 2009.
“NYI’s Bridgewater facility, located at 999 Frontier Road, has now completed the SAS 70 Type II audit,“ said Todd Stephenson, SAS 70 Specialist, KirkpatrickPrice, LLC. “Because Type I compliance came so early in the process of bringing their new facility online, NYI was able to achieve full compliance sooner.
