October 12, 2005 (HOSTSEARCH.COM) Digital certificate provider XRamp yesterday announced that its partner, Web hosting provider HostMySite.com, has tripled sales of digital certificates since their association. HostMySite.com serves more than 45,000 small and medium-sized businesses and its customers can purchase XRamp digital SSL server certificates to secure their ecommerce transactions at 80 percent of cost.
"Every Web site doing e-business needs an SSL certificate to protect sensitive data during an online transaction," said Lou Honick, CEO of HostMySite.com. "We chose XRamp as our security partner because the company's technology integrates easily with ours and because XRamp's business philosophy parallels our own--they provide superior customer service at a great price that's easy for customers to implement."
Previously a provider of GeoTrust certificates, HostMySite.com changed to XRamp based on their level of customer service, competitive pricing, and API integration capabilities. XRamp was the first Certificate Authority to offer 256 bit SSL certificates and its current Class 3 certificates provide customers with top-level commercial transaction assurance. XRamp's certificates work with all types of browser and 256-bit Advanced Encryption Standard (AES-256) capable servers. They are also backward compatible and provide encryption for software that does not yet support the 256-bit standard.
