Atlantic.Net has attained AICPA-based SSAE-18 certification. Established in 1994, Atlantic.Net has headquarters in Orlando, Florida, United States. Its latest SSAE-18 certification was in compliance with ‘AICPA Standard Principles’.
SSAE 18 increases the usefulness of SOC reports and superseded SSAE 16 in 2017. It is managed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and is an accounting standard that requires the inclusion of ‘Complementary Subservice Organization Controls’ – meaning it provides quality assurance on service organizations that are used by other service organizations. It provides robust safeguards as far as customer data is concerned. Atlantic.Net received a third-party audit and was validated in relation to the Service Organization Control SSAE 18 SOC 1 and SOC 2 auditing standards with specialization in healthcare, e-commerce, PCI compliance and catering to small to medium size businesses. It is “one of the first cloud service providers to be in audited compliance with the SSAE 18 requirements”.
