Wholesale registrar eNom, Inc.
and web host and cloud company DreamHost
have formed a partnership. The partnership sees DreamHost leverage eNom's reseller platform to facilitate its domain activity and access new gTLDs as they come online. In return, eNom will make DreamHost's hosting platform available to its customers. This will include access to DreamHost's Virtual Private Server (VPS) options, dedicated servers, and cloud hosting solutions. eNom will promote DreamHost’s services across its retail platform by October 1, 2013.
A Demand Media company, eNom is recognized as the industry's largest wholesale domain name registrar with ICANN accreditation. The company's services enable companies and individuals to buy and sell Internet domains. DreamHost caters to 375,000 customers with services that include shared hosting, Virtual Private Servers (VPS), dedicated server hosting, and cloud computing and storage services. The arrangement between the two companies will significantly boost DreamHost's domain registration activity.
“Our entrepreneur, designer and developer customers are passionate about being on the cutting edge of Internet technology and trends,” explained DreamHost's CEO, Simon Anderson. “The new gTLD domain name extensions launching this year, including .web, .shop, and even .ninja, are exciting opportunities to build new brands and web channels for customers, and eNom enables us to deliver the whole enchilada!”Do you know of any other companies forming partnerships?
