Bluehost is conducting a branding campaign designed to extend its business activity in the Indian market. Bluehost, which has global headquarters in Burlington, Massachusetts, United States, was founded in 2003. The company specializes in offering a broad range of shared, dedicated, VPS, and WordPress hosting options alongside cloud hosting services.
Bluehost is an important part of what was the Endurance International Group (EIG) alongside brands like CrazyDomains, HostGator, Network Solutions, Register.com, Web.com, and iPage. The group was in the
news recently after its acquisition by investment firm Clearlake Capital Group (Clearlake Capital Group L.P.) for approximately $3.0 billion. It is now known as Newfold Digital.
Bluehost’s branding exercise in India underscores the importance of the subcontinent’s hosting market. It includes three films, each of which demonstrates a “core benefit and feature” of the Bluehost brand – the company’s speed, its security, and its reliability. It targets Indian content creators (bloggers, etc.) and web developers and designers. Alongside English, the branding activity can be seen in six local Indian languages. The humorous promotions feature “a protagonist in conversation with a narrator” who describes what he or she is looking for from a company while creating a website with Bluehost.
