November 13, 2008 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – AT&T (http://www.att.com/webhosting) has added ecommerce features to its hosting services, it was reported recently. The new features help small and midsize businesses develop websites with many of the ecommerce capabilities enjoyed on the websites of much bigger companies. The services enable ecommerce features such as shopping carts, blogs and PayPal payment solutions.

The company’s services also include “site and database migrations, one-stop ecommerce site builds, database builds, expanded managed system and server administration, code-execution monitoring and third-party code debugging and support”. In addition, a control panel offers a range of metrics including site statistics, system utilization and user preference management related to accounts.

"Our professional hosting and Web design services are the ideal solution for companies that want to take their businesses online but don't want the expense of running and managing servers, software and hardware," explained Vice President AT&T Hosting and Application Services, Mr. Steve Caniano. "What's more, small and midsize businesses now can receive ecommerce support and best practices from highly trained consultants who are ecommerce experts with businesses of all sizes."

AT&T's Web Hosting(SM) Virtual Dedicated Server and Managed Dedicated Server offerings were introduced in 2008 and provide small and midsize companies an “easy and cost-effective” way to establish a web presence or upgrade an existing site. New customers are offered a range of discounts on the Virtual Dedicated Server and Managed Dedicated Server offerings when they subscribe to one of the AT&T small and midsize business high speed Internet services or AT&T Tech Support 360(SM), as well as local, long distance and wireless services.
