eUKhost has announced the availability of a new security tool designed to help website owners protect their sites against potential cybercriminals. eUKhost is a managed web hosting specialist with headquarters in Leeds, West Yorkshire, United Kingdom. Established in 2001, the company prides itself in offering affordable services that are “the most reliable and professional web hosting solutions on UK-based servers”. It offers several hosting-related services including cloud servers, Virtual Private Servers (VPS), shared and reseller hosting, and dedicated servers supported by Dell hardware. Its new Patchman security tool automates patching and malicious software removal from Content Management System (CMS) websites.
Patchman was developed by Scottsdale, Arizona-based SiteLock – a “global leader in website security” that protects “more than 12 million websites globally”. Its services allow users to defend against DDoS attacks, meet PCI compliance standards, and enhance website performance. Patchman assists with “CMS vulnerability patching” by ensuring CMS software patches are up to date and effective. It scans for vulnerabilities in popular CMS solutions like WordPress and Magento, automatically patching installations. The advanced version of the solution patches ecommerce solutions like WooCommerce and can be integrated control panels like cPanel and Plesk.
eukhost’s latest security measure sits alongside a range of security tools including FortiGate firewalls, Mimecast enterprise email, SSL certificates, email signing certificates, remote backup services, and spam filtering. It will be made available to shared hosting customers free of charge until April 1, 2021. A discount will be available to the company's other hosting customers.
