Hosting and cloud services provider Leaseweb Network
(Leaseweb) has implemented the Infinera Groove G30 ‘Network Disaggregation Platform’ with a view to global data center expansion. Leaseweb, which was established in 1997, has global headquarters in Amsterdam, Netherlands and with 20 data centers worldwide has a presence in Europe and Asia.
Leaseweb caters to more than 17,000 customers (predominantly managed service providers, companies offering SaaS solutions, and companies involved in gaming and ‘AdTech’). Alongside public and private cloud hosting options, the company’s comprehensive range of solutions extend to Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) packages, bare metal servers, hybrid clouds, dedicated servers, Virtual Private Server (VPS) options and DDoS protection. It manages around 80,000 servers globally. Its Infinera Groove implementation connects data centers in North America and was initiated as a response to customer requirements.
Leaseweb’s implementation of Infinera Groove strengthens a global network that “has a core uptime of 99.999% and a bandwidth capacity of 6 Tbps”. It also allows the company to scale optical interconnect capacity efficiently and offer data security “in a compact, plug-and-play architecture”. “The Infinera Groove provides the high reliability, flexibility, and security our data centers need,” explained the Managing Director of Leaseweb, said Bart van der Sloot. “As we grow our data center locations all over the world, our goal is to continue serving as a key business partner in keeping businesses connected, offering them the peace of mind that our network is powered by best-in-class and cutting-edge optical technology.”Do you know of any other companies enhancing their offerings?
