Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) Provider iWeb Becomes OpenStack Foundation Corporate Partner and Sponsor
Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) provider iWeb has become a corporate partner and sponsor of the OpenStack Foundation. The Canadian company has also committed to the "Open Cloud" standard and expressed its commitment towards further developing open cloud standards and related technologies.

Founded in 2010, OpenStack has grown from few developers supporting the development, distribution and adoption of OpenStack cloud software to the power behind some of today's key public clouds, ecommerce sites, and SaaS applications. The OpenStack Foundation now has 8,800 members from 850 organizations in 114 countries. Launched in 1996, Montreal-based iWeb is now one of the top 50 OpenStack sponsors.

"iWeb has long been committed to open technologies," explained Christian Primeau, the company's President and COO. "As we get ready to deploy our new generation of private and public cloud, OpenStack was a great fit for us. We have been in development with OpenStack for many months now for a high performance cloud. The rich feature set and ability to customize all elements to meet the needs of our customers has been critical for iWeb."
