(1&1) has announced the launch of new managed cloud hosting options. 1&1, which is a United Internet subsidiary, was established in 1988. The company, which has headquarters in Chesterbrook, Pennsylvania, United States, offers a wide range of services. Alongside web hosting, these services extend to domain registration, email hosting, cloud applications, and Search Engine Optimization (SEO). It’s new managed cloud options are called 1&1 Managed Cloud Hosting.
1&1 Managed Cloud Hosting utilizes the 1&1 Cloud Server infrastructure to offer customers a flexible and efficient cloud solution that requires “no administration effort”. 1&1 manages customer system updates and system maintenance. 1&1 Managed Cloud Hosting leverages Docker container technology and allows 1&1’s customers to “freely configure” software. It also allows customers to individually select a stack or choose between one of 20 stack combinations that are already available, with additional stacks “expanded and tested for compatibility” on an ongoing basis.
Customers can also individually configure single Virtual Machine (VM) stacks and book additional Virtual Machines. Likewise, customers can scale infrastructure performance by choosing server resources including SSD storage, CPU, and memory. They can also choose between data centers in Germany, Spain, and the United States.
