Web host 1&1 Internet, Inc. is now offering a community website which caters to WordPress users. Currently in beta, the website, '1&1 Community’, offers a range of information related to the popular WordPress Content Management System (CMS) and blog software. The site includes expert tips and insights and is intended to enhance the ability of WordPress users to develop websites.
The new site offers detailed information on a range of WordPress issues including plug-ins, themes, Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and security issues. The site is intended to cater for any WordPress user, regardless of experience or level of expertise. It offers articles for beginners and WordPress experts and features a range of websites built by 1&1 community members. These sites are given as examples of features and WordPress' capabilities. The site also feeds into social media discussions.
The 1&1 Community offers content generated by 1&1’s staff, many of whom are actively involved in the WordPress community. 1&1’s team will regularly add content to the site, but in the near future it will begin to provide information on other open source CMS options.
