August 14, 2008 (HOSTSEARCH.COM) Web host 1&1 (http://www.1and1.co.uk) has launched a new range of dedicated servers, it was announced yesterday. According to the company, which bills itself as the worlds largest web host by known servers, its new servers combine latest AMD processors, RAID and huge disk space. Each is are available through European data centers fully CO2 neutral with Green Energy.
1&1 dedicated servers are available in Linux, Windows or managed configurations and feature a 100MBit data transfer flat rate. 1&1 servers also utilize 135 GBit connectivity via a pan-European backbone. The companys new dedicated servers comprise the Business Server I (250GB disks) and Business Server II (500GB disks), both featuring software RAID1, and the Business Server III (750GB disks) and Enterprise Server I (1000GB disks) both equipped with hardware RAID1 technology. 1&1s new Enterprise Server II (1500GB) now features hardware RAID5 technology. Linux and Windows Dedicated Servers are also provided with PLESK 8
