April 4, 2006 (HOSTSEARCH.COM) Web hosting provider iWeb Technologies has announced it is increasing the bandwidth available though its plans. The increase has been facilitated by the addition of a GigE network connection to Level3 provided by Videotron Telecom with the purpose of increasing the capacity of iWeb's network.
"There are not a lot of good bandwidth providers options in Canada, especially in Montreal, and most providers are expensive," explained Martin Leclair, Co-founder and Chief Operating Officer of iWeb. "We are proud to say that we succeeded in building a strong network with an important capacity that allows our business to compete with any dedicated servers or web hosting provider in the world. Few providers in Canada can offer 2000GB of traffic or a 10Mbps unmetered network connection with a low budget dedicated Server! But that's not enough, with the opening of our new datacenter to come, we still plan to double our network capacity in the next year and keep the same affordable prices," he continued.
Established in 1996, iWeb offers shared hosting, dedicated servers and co-location though its data centers and caters to more than 95 countries worldwide.
