I've been with hostgator for more than 3 years now and I'm very satisfied, they are very rarely down and their support is satisfactory - whenever I needed help I've always found them.

Have had them for a few years now, have tired others but keep coming back. Service is a little slow but thats my only concern. Very happy otherwise

I hosted with them for close to a year. After the first few months the server I was on was up and down every other day. They have become to big to give good service.

I've had no problems with them. Even my newbie questions were answered very professionally. Speed is great. No downtime detectable in 2 months. Not the cheapest, but cheap, way better than 1and1 or PowWeb. Many great features are standard.

i wouldnt recommend hostgator as they have very poor technical support. i have had 4 days of downtime for the moment and it keeps going on. i truly think they have no clue of what they are doing! im on my way to another host.

I used hostgator for 6 months but now i am moving all my sites out. The main complaint i have is that one of their shared servers has a problem with POP/SMTP handling. In only handles mail correctly 10% of the time. Tech people were not helpful at all.

when I open a semi dedicated on there host they told everything was included in there but it was not they charge extra for ssl for secure server like $10.00 plus they don't know customer royalty....

They are a scam, 3 months into my hosting they supended my account with out notice. When I found out and ask they said I was overloading the server and needed a semi dictated server. They refuse to help me fix my site to fit within their guide lines.
