I have over 20 websites hosted by Arvixe since 2003 and I never had 1 (one) single problem with them. They are always helpful and even help with stuff they are not obliged to. I will be on Arvixe forever if they keep up like this!

uptime varies according to *which* shared Server you're on. Mine, "veggy", has been > 99.9% 10 out of the last 12 months (and over 99.8 the other 2). A+ for me. *NOTHING ELSE* matters as much as downtime!
