Contabo Scam - Suspend ur VPS and Request Money to Reactivate
I have signup and paid for Contabo VPS 4GB Memory/200GB SSD package. After almost two week, I cannot access my server either via Putty, WinSCP or browser.
I check my email, they said that they suspend my server because of misuse however I only just install LAMP and Apache Tomcat on that VPS. Nothing more.
They request $40 for reactivate the VPS.

I check the email, there is a SPAM email from contabo that mention that there is abuse/misuse from my VPS and it will suspend my VPS.

I don't know what abuse can be made by a clean install of LAMP and Tomcat with no page,system or website to deploy. i'm glad that I only subscribe for 1 month and does not migrate my site and data to Contabo yet..

For thos who plan to use Contabo, please beware..

You get what you pay for (DDoS Protection is a lie)
I had a server for 2 weeks at Contabo an chose their service for their promise of 99% DDoS mitigation.
That's not true. I became a DDoS victim by a unknown source and the only thing Contabo did was disable my IP.
After three days Contabo shut down my server forever and I paid for three months and I won't get a refund because of the DDoS.

Their promise of 99% DDoS mitigation is a lie and you should not trust it when you order a server.
You will lose your money and your server when DDoSed.

FRAUD AND SCAM COMPANY
Absolutely stay away from these fraudsters. They are rude, never support and answer insulting you.
A pain in the a... to deal with.
They attempt in all possible way to blackmail you, steal moneys and ripoff their own customers. It's not worth to deal with these scammers.
In my place, I bought a “vps”, they delivered unusable product and they now refuse to refund.
I will lawsuit and chargeback, but be advised, if you haven't yet bought from them, DONT. Steer right away and buy elsewhere, not worth it to be scammed by these fraudsters.

VPS SCAM
They have the bandwidth capped, I have 600MB in the office, a symmetric line and I have uploaded files to the server at 200Kb / s. The servers do not know how they will be but the VPS is a hoax, I retested one of his VPS after half a year and exactly the same thing happened to me. By the way, they do not return the money, a company that values losing a customer more than losing € 20 already tells you what type of company it is ... I request a refund the same day of purchase because it is a lousy service and they tell me no They can do it because the VPS involved a cost, which you pay when hiring an installation cost, that they keep the installation costs and give me back the difference ... and they say that it does not matter, that the money does not return it.

Caution, scammers!
I used hosting for only a few days. SSD hard drives are terribly slow as are internet connections. And today they completely turned off access to the server. The site interface is out of date 10 years ago. Registration without order is not available. Customer support responds very slowly. I do not recommend this hosting.

SCAMMERS - be aware before ordering
CONTABO are scammers. we sent money by mistake to them on paypal. they refused to send it back as they say anything we send is non refundable even if it is 15000usd. Be AWARE as their customer servcies is very poor, ineficient. they will try to scam you, better go somewhere safer !!!

i just bought a SSD VPS (S) with 4CORE/8GB/200GB SSD with just $13.97, after payment they will send login credentials via email.

after first login into my first contabo vps, the feel was really satisfying, i can just ditch my vultr/do/linode vps

UPLOAD SPEED OF 4MBit/s
I can't even have a ssh session open, if I download a file of 100MB from FTP it would take 8 hours at 300kb/s
Powerful but useless without network.
