Terrible Billing Policy
I have been with Hostforweb for over 11 years. I have had several reseller accounts. They charge annually and take the money in advance. I just cancelled one account recently in the middle of the year, hoping to get refund for the rest of the time that I am not using their services. NONE is refunded! They told me they could not even refund me a penny. I am extremely unhappy as other host providers would easily refund you the money for the time you did not use hosting services. HostForWeb does not refund! This is very unfortunate and makes me very dissatisfied.

Technical support has no earthly clue whats going on
Technical support has no clue how to handle issues. You call the number and the rep cannot do anything but to open a ticket. Dumped them and moved to another top host; couldn't be happier

Been with them for 15+ years. Tech support and knowledge is next to none
They have no clue whats happening with their servers. I couldn't connect via FTP and they had no idea why. Second, when i did mass file operations, their services will temporarily "block" my out and wont let me do any editions to files. Disappointing.

We have hosted our website on a dedicated server with HFW since 2010. The technical support is very responsive and helps us resolve, or makes useful recommendations on a range of issues. Tech support is the primary reason we have stayed since 2010.

My server files are hacked two times in the same week and they have no explanation. The chat option never works and they are not reliable at all.

Resulted in 500 plus unhappy customers
Was with HFW for 16 years and spend a lot of money with them and had no issues until late 2017/early 2018 when they did a update which resulted in sites going offline and over 5oo unhappy customers and all support requests we submitted were ignored. AVOID

Used to be great then we were without email for over a week
Host for Web used to be amazing! Now enter the end of 2017 and beginning of 2018 and our emails were down without any ticket or phone response for over a week. We bought a server at a different host and migrated all sites over before they responded ONCE!

from excellant to horrilble overnight
From hero to nightmare overnight. From Dec 22 until now it takes a week to get even outage issues resolved. Moved all 3 servers to new host last week and canceled everything I had with them. I was with them for 11 years but something major has changed.

No Longer Acceptable
Reseller acct generally OK until 12/17. Now down for days. Support tickets take a week if answered. Chat support says Not Available. Phone calls ring; no ans, no message. Reliability & tech support severely compromised. Moving to new co.
